UAM ACCESSORIES

Widening plates, controllers, and more

Among the many accessories we have available is the UAM Controller, which we developed and integrated in order to provide even greater safety and convenience.

The range of applications for UAM proline plate compactor attachments can be expanded further with the use of widening plates.

Widening plates

The range of applications for UAM proline plate compactor attachments can be expanded further with the use of widening plates.

The larger area provided by these widening plates cuts the time needed to compact large areas and slopes roughly in half when working with soils that do not need maximum compaction.

The widening plates can be screwed onto the existing base plate and secured in a matter of minutes, and installing and removing them is incredibly easy. On top of this, they feature a guard that prevents them from breaking off or falling off so as to guarantee safe operation.

This simple solution is an ideal way to lower investment costs and ensure smooth operation.

UAM Controller

We developed the UAM Controller in order to prevent damage to pipes and surrounding buildings.

The controller continuously measures and indicates the compacting frequency and warns operators if it is getting dangerously close to or reaches the ground’s natural frequency (with wet and heavy soils, for example) or if the compactor is being overloaded.

This is particularly important, as work in the natural frequency range can result in damage to surrounding buildings or installed pipes.

The advantages at a glance

  • Continuous visual monitoring indicator within the carrier’s line of sight (no turning away).
  • Self-powered with solar power and battery operation.
  • Electronic logbook and operating hours accessible on smartphones via Bluetooth with the UAM app.
  • Operating frequencies and location of use logged with an integrated GPS module.

The UAM app

With the UAM app, the UAM Controller can be accessed via Bluetooth in order to see the logged operating hours and get a report in PDF format.

This report can then be shared directly from the app and stored with the relevant construction documentation, for example.

The app also features the data sheets for our UAM plate compactor attachments, as well as the corresponding operating manuals with spare part lists and exploded assembly drawings.

Cohesive soils

  • Low frequency of approx. 28 to 35 Hz
  • Indicator light: yellow

Composite soils

  • Medium frequency of approx. 35 to 45 Hz
  • Indicator light: green
  • UNIVERSAL FREQUENCY

Non-cohesive soils (sand, gravel)

  • High frequency of approx. 45 to 55 Hz
  • Indicator light: white
